Abstract
This work confirms the efficacy of orthokeratology treatment as a way to reduce myopia and to improve visual function. The age is proposed as a variable that influences the results. So, two groups are studied: 12-20 and 21-30 years old. The average myopia reduction is 1.61 D in refractive level and 0.95 D in corneal level. Younger subjects have achieved better results, although they need a greater keratometric reduction than older subjects to obtain the same refractive reduction. Orthokeratology induced astigmatism is minimal.
