Zusammenfassung

Analysis of user opinion about ETIOBE: An intervention based on information and communication technologies for childhood obesity. Obesity is a serious problem for human health. It is a chronic and progressive medical condition with a high mortality and morbidity rate. Its prevalence is increasing in the child population, and for this it is necessary that we have a therapeutic approach. In recent years, effective psychological treatments have been developed that focus on the modification of lifestyles and these treatments are supported by information and communication technologies (ICTs). So far, the studies have focused on analyzing the efficacy without taking into account user opinion analysis. The objective of the present study is to analyze the opinion that users (children and parents) that have undergone the ETIOBE intervention. The sample is composed of 22 overweight children (8-14 years), who receive a psychological intervention supported by a web platform, ETIOBE. Users value aspects such as acquired learning, potentialities, weaknesses, factors that may be influencing in the modification of healthy habits, satisfaction, acceptance, and recommendation to others. The results show that ETIOBE intervention influences learning of healthy habits. Parents feel that it is important to focus more on aspects related to changes in intake and increase in daily physical movement. In general, all users value positively and are satisfied with the intervencion. Interventions supported by the use of ICTs can be a useful tool for promoting healthy lifestyles among children
