Resumo
In foster care, visits between the foster minors and their families of origin are one of the most important things to be taken into account. This is the reason why this essay’s goal is to describe, analyze and assess the visits that foster minors in strange families pay their families of origin. From a total amount of 80 minors which were fostered in strange families in Valencia, only 40 visited somebody in their family. There was a follow up to the visits of the minors in care. In this follow up an asessment scale was used in order to carry out the analysis. This scale was also given to the minor, the educating family and the biological family. Apparently, according to the results obtained, what favours family reunification after fosterage isn’t the visit itself, but the fact that it takes place regularly and that there is a good relationship between parents and children at that moment.
