Resumen

Esta investigación relaciona las características del emprendimiento social y los rasgos culturales. Así, se destaca que algunos rasgos culturales crean un entorno más favorable para el desarrollo de la iniciativa emprendedora social y crean un vínculo entre el aumento de actividad de la economía social y las dimensiones establecidas por Geert Hofstede. La investigación se basa en dos estudios ya existentes: el ranking de Índice de Innovación Global y los índices culturales del trabajo de Hofstede. De esta manera, se observa si estos datos están relacionados con las características de los emprendedores sociales. La investigación proporciona información importante y ayuda a entender porqué algunas culturas se encuentran más involucradas en las actividades sociales que otras. Entre las conclusiones obtenidas, se puede destacar que las dimensiones culturales como el colectivismo, la feminidad o el mayor nivel de incertidumbre parece que influyen en la creación de actividades de emprendimiento social.
