Resum
The use of gothic arch graphic tracers allowes us to evaluate the mandibular movements in our edentulous patients, and more specifically, establish the characteristics of the mandibular displacement. A study was made recording gothic arch tracings in several patients with complete dentures, establishing two types of tracings: acceptable or unacceptable. The statistical analysis showed no significant differences among data. We concluded that the use of graphic tracing can help to carry out short- and long- term monitoring on patients using total removable prosthesis by marking the modifications that are produced in the mandibular motion.
