Abstract

The economic cuts imposed by politics and �the mark ets� under the pretext of the crisis atack the welf are state. In this case, for people with disabilities, the disminution of services and resources they need attempts direc lty their fundamental rights as people and to their develoment and social participation, traditionally hampered by little in clusive contexts. This article analyses the risks in implementing these cu ts in people with disabilities. After basing the in violability of their rights, the need of applying the national and international declarations that guarantee their equal developmen t as citizen is emphasized. Inclusive education is presented as par t of those legislative archievements, as a pedagogi cal trategy, and above all, as an indispensable tool for maintaining social cohesion, including people with disabilitie s. Ans inclusive edu- cation must develop an inclusive culture and culmin ate in an inlucisve society.
