Abstract
Aneurysmal bone cyst is a bening intraosseus lesion composed of blood-filled cavernous spaces of varying sizes associated with fibrous connective tissue containing multinucleated giant cells and osteoid. lt is rarely found in the craneofacial region and excepcionally in the mandibule. A case of aneurysmal bone cyst of the mandibule in a eleven-year-old boy is presented. After surgical curettage, there was no recurrence in a 3-year follow-up period. The age distribution, clinicopathologic features, treatment, and surgical results were evaluated and compared with the international literature.
