Abstract

In the present paper, main issues about the measurement of job satisfaction are raised: construct conceptualization, environmental sources, internalism vs. situationism, job satisfaction dynamics, cognitive and affective components and first and second order affect distinction. Moreover, some of the most often used instruments are presented, and the need of further research taking into account the raised issues is emphasized.
