Resumen

Objective: To analyze some of the physical-chemical and structural most important aspect in the design of biomaterials for tissue repair with an approach to its possible usefulness in the nervous system. Design: We analyzed several studies regarding the synthesis and design of biomaterials for tissue reconstruction by using porous scaffolds, nanostructured systems, and combination of biomaterials and stem cells. Conclusions: Nowadays the use of biomaterials for regenerative processes is an evident fact, and a great challenge for neuroregenerative medicine
