Resumen

Actually, virtual teams are becoming a key strategy in actual organizations. The aim of this paper consists of reviewing some relevant issues involved in virtual team functioning such as interpersonal and social dimension, coordination and work structure and potency and team trust. These factors need to be taken into account in the virtual team building and development processes in organizations. In this line, we offer several guidelines in order to manage the virtual teams in organizations.
