Abstract
An exhaustive faunistic analysis of mosquitoes, in larva phase, in the marsh �Marjal dels Moros� (Puzol-Sagunto, Valencia) was carried out. We selected 26 sampling points that were visited every two weeks during the years 2005, 2006 and 2007. Nine species of the genera Culex, Culiseta, Ochlerotatus and Uranotoenia were collected. Several questions about the bioecology of captured species, as well as the role in the transmission of pathogenic agents and the interest from a point of view of population control, are discussed too.
