Abstract

The use of ICTs in the French for specific purposes classroom points to an actional dynamics which has been recommended in the Common European Framework for Languages, whilst they can also be seen to tackle the issue of certain insufficiencies in the management of particular student groups. It is felt that there is a need to change the actual teaching-learning paradigm although basically what is advocated is the use of a project-based pedagogy which takes advantage of the new tools available. Although we still make reference to "new" tools, they are not considered as such by our students, who we may nickname as "digital natives". However, despite the fact that they are familiar with these tools does not mean that they always know how to use their competences in a productive and creative way. This happens above all when dealing with communication, intention and the effect that our rhetorical choices have on others when making strategic decisions.
