Abstract
A Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) study of leaf surface, capsule stomata, peristome teeth and spores of Orthotrichu^ cupulatu^ var. sardagnanu^ and O. cupulatu^ var. baldaccii is made. On this ground, we propose a new status for the last taxon: Orthotrichu^ cupulatu^ subsp. baldaccii.
