Abstract
A study of 5 simple mandibular bone cyst including analysis of clinical, radiographical, histopahological features, surgical treatment and follow-up information was made. The age of the patient varied from 9 to 14 years. All patients were asymtomatic. Only one case had a history of trauma to the area. All lesions were found in the mandible and were unilocular. In some cases the radiographic findings suggested a solitary bone cyst, but surgical exploration and histopathological analysis was essential for definitive diagnosis. Follow-up of the patients showed the complete healing of the lesions.
