El efecto del divorcio sobre la ansiedad de los hijos

Resumen

En el presente trabajo se ha evaluado el nivel de ansiedad en dos grupos de niños pertenecientes a familias divorciadas (96) e intactas (97). La ansiedad se ha medido por medio de la adaptación al castellano del State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children¿s Spanish (STAIC). La percepción que tiene el niño sobre el divorcio se ha evaluado a través de la traducción de la escala Chidren¿s Beliefs about Parental Divorce Scale (CBPDS). Los resultados indican que no existen diferencias significativas entre los niveles de ansiedad de ambos grupos de niños. La ansiedad exhibida por los niños parece estar relacionada con las siguientes variables: el conflicto interparental, las relaciones parentales después del divorcio y la frecuencia de visitas del padre que no posee la custodia del niño.
