Efectos de facilitación asociativa vs. Semántica con una breve asincronía estimular señal-test

Se llevó a cabo un experimento para examinar la diferencia entre efectos automáticos de facilitación asociativa vs. semántica en una tarea de decisión léxica. Se empleó la técnica de presentación enmascarada del estímulo-test para minimizar la influencia de factores de tipo estratégico. Si la facilitación de tipo asociativo, pero no la activación de tipo semántico, es automática (de Groot, 1990) se deberían encontrar efectos únicamente en la condición relacionada asociativamente. Los resultados mostraron efectos de facilitación sólo en las condiciones con una relación de tipo asociativo (sólo-asociativa o asociativa+semántica), pero no en la condición de relación sólo-semántica. Los resultados se interpretan a la luz de los modelos de memoria semántica.
