Resumo

The aim of this study is to explore the influence of contractual status and type of management on the content of the psychological contract. 2 (contractual status: permanent or temporary) x 2 (type of management: private or public) ANOVAS were performed on employer and employees obligations respectively with a sample of 385 workers. Results support the hypotheses, showing that contractual status and the type of management were relevant variables to understand the differences in the content of the psychological contract. The contributions to the debate about the shift from the old to the new deal in the employment relations are discussed
