La influencia de la composición del grupo sobre el desempeño de las empresas conjuntas

In this paper, influence of factors related to group composition on joint ventures performance is analysed. Our basic thesis is that possession of necessary resources that facilitate sinergies and allow the development of the cooperative activity, and the existence of conditions that minimice conflicts due to shared owership positively affect to performance. Hypotheses are tested for a sample of 83 Spanish export joint ventures. Performance assessment is carried out through a subjective measure, the extent to which partners' goals regarding their participation in the project have been accomplished. Additionaly, potential performance is evaluated. This measure can be associated with the continuity of the future relationship. Results show that factors related to group cmposition exerta significant influence on the joint ventures performance
