Resumen

En este artículo se presenta un modelo procesual que analiza el papel de las atribuciones en el campo de la seguridad laboral. Para ello se parte de tres aproximaciones básicas: 1) los estudios en el campo de la accidentabilidad, 2) los estudios sobre atribuciones ante el desempeño organizacional, en especial los sesgos y errores que se producen, y 3) y la teoría de la acción razonada que relaciona las actitudes con la conducta. El modelo aborda el proceso de búsqueda de explicaciones que se genera ante la ocurrencia de los accidentes/incidentes en el trabajo, los sesgos que durante este proceso se producen y cómo estas atribuciones influyen en las actitudes y conductas hacia la seguridad, influyendo, con ello, en la accidentabilidad. Especial hincapié se hace también en el estudio de las distintas estrategias empleadas para la medición de las atribuciones ante el desempeño en el ámbito organizacional y su utilidad para el estudio específico de las atribuciones ante accidentes.
