Resumen

This article presents the main features of recent developments of research on Work and Organizational Psychology in Spain. First, some economical, societal and academic changes in our country, are considered as relevant context of such developments. Second, research groups in Spanish Work and Organizational Psychology are presented. Main assumptions and orientations of research on Work and Organizational Psychology are also taken into, account. Afterwards, we review the, main research topics and issues. Then, the, relationships between research and professional practice receive some attention in order to better understand the complex interaction between this two poles of the system. Finally, the main achievements of Spanish Work and Organizational Psychology are summarized at the time that some new challenges and future trends are pointed out
