Una propuesta de evaluación del patrimonio hidráulicolos elementos de regadío tradicional en la rambla Gallinera

Abstract

The elements that form the historical irrigation systems, and the water landscapes that are generated, represent spatial units of contrasted cultural and heritage value. These hydraulic architectures and their associated landscape spaces require actions aimed at their protection and enhancement. A methodological assessment system of the hydraulic heritage is developed and applied in a practical way in this communication. It is a multi‐criteria quantitative method. The nature of its indicators enables a hierarchy of hydraulic elements according to the heritage value, with the aim of prioritizing appropriate measures in the conservation and management tasks. The methodology has been applied in the Alicante’s basin of the Gallinera’s ravine, constituted by a narrow inland valley with micro irrigations of mid‐mountain. It has detected a defined and structured water heritage, with the identification of two hundred hydraulic goods. The assessment has allowed the cataloguing of 39 elements, grouped into 18 heritage groups.
