Abstract

Currently, the need to strengthen measures of support and protection to the family and children is evident. In this regard, the specialized equipments for family and children have an important role. Specialized Services for Care Family and Children (SEAFI’s) were, created in some regions in early 2000. In the specific case of Valencia, the intervention focuses on two priority objectives (Specialized Services for Care Family and Children Protocol, 2014): - Family preservation: keep the child in your household under conditions that ensure their welfare - Family reunification: return of the child to his biological family in conditions which ensure appropriate development and education. Specially in relation to minors, specialized intervention is justified, especially in cases of children at risk and children with legal and / or protection. On these sense, is very important the work done by SEAFIs regarding filio-parental violence (Amo, 2010). In research carried out in Valencia (Rodriguez, Canovas and Sahuquillo, 2015), it is evident that much of the surveyed population is served from social services (41.9%) in different ways: educational, psychological care, counseling, family intervention, financial aid, among others. Most of the proceedings were derived as a specialized service to SEAFI. Moreover, it is found that 19.1% of those has protective and resilient factors: • On a personal level: a high IQ, practice a sport regularly. • At the household level: the parent, extended family (grandparents, uncles), older siblings to help reduce anger, among others. • Social: Social Services support.
