Abstract
This work analyse the different degrees of satire with which the main poets of the Spanish Golden Age -the Renaissance Garcilaso and the baroques Lope, Góngora and Quevedo- treat some of the tragic couples of lovers of the mythology and the Greco-Roman literature: Pyramus and Tisbe, Hero and Leandro, Apollo and Dafne, Orpheus and Eurydice, Dido and Eneas. The causticity depends not only on the poet, but also on the type of love relationship of the couple.
