PechaKucha como herramienta de innovación educativa en el Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior

Resumen

The proposal presented is part of the results obtained with the implementation of the project of educational innovation, developed since the academic year 2012-2013 in the Faculty of Teaching of the University of València. Ieducarts (UV-SFPIE_DOCE-146660) works in the visual arts and music by means of the ICTs using the format PechaKucha. The project intends to create a space of reflection and debate on the different possibilities of work that the artistic education offers in agreement with other languages by means of the application of methodologies different from the magisterial and traditional classroom. The project offers the students a platform to harmoniously integrate multiple aspects of the curriculum. The experience was carried out with a group of 40 students of the Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teaching of the Universitat de València, in the subject IDIIEM (Teaching innovation and initiation to Music Research). The questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument and a rubric for evaluating student presentations. The results show that the use of PechaKucha as a multimedia educational product contributes satisfactorily to the acquisition of professional skills. The implementation of this experience has meant a practical application of the theoretical knowledge of the subject to different situations, enhancing the active, autonomous and collaborative learning of students from a constructivist approach and increasing students’ motivation about the subject.
