I am a Ramón y Cajal fellow (tenure-tracked professor and investigator) at the Universitat de València. I have a strong international background (PhD completed in France and Italy in 2017, postdoctoral positions hold in France, Spain and Belgium from 2017 and 2024, frequent visiting professorship and research fellowships completed in Argentina, Finlandia, Italy and the US). I am an expert of the 19th-century revolutionary political cultures, developing a transnational and comparative approach being mainly focused on Southern European societies (Spain and Italy) which I try to expand to a wider area to reassess sacrificial death as a political issue through a perspective of Atlantic history. My current research deals with martyrdom as a category of politics and as a tool of legitimation and political politization, in order to understand the way politics and religion were linked in the postrevolutionary societies.
