Abstract

The study evaluates the linguistic competence in the oral expression of Chinese children studying in Castilian and Valencian/Catalan, with specific objectives that include the investigation of elements differentiating linguisticdevelopment, translation and validation of assessment tools, design and execution of the experimental process, and data analysis to formulate generalizable conclusions. Mixed methodologies are employed, with systematic review and PRISMA method in the theoretical phase, questionnaires in data collection, and tools such as SPSS, R, andJamovi for analysis. Preliminary findings highlight the significant influence of age and exposure to diverse linguistic stimuli on the language evolution of these children, emphasizing the importance of evaluating competence in aspecific context. The need for comprehensive questionnaires and strategic subject segmentation to ensure the validity and reliability of results is emphasized, especially in the context of child migration and second languageacquisition.
