Abstract

The Internet and the rest of new Technologies make up the main elements of the so-called "Information Society", as the vehicle for the transmission of information at a global level, as the axis that sustains online social relations and as a means of conducting business remotely by electronically. Many of the apparently free Information Society services are supported by advertising revenue and by the treatment and transfer of personal data that, through techniques such as big data, allows users to extract very valuable information from users, among which are minors, whose degree of maturity, sometimes, does not allow them to understand adequatly the risks they assume when transferring their personal data. The valid consent of the minor, or as the case may be of his parents, thus become one of the pillars of their right to informative self-determination.
