Abstract

For a long time, it was thought that the fossil record of the Triassic sharks in Spain was non-existent. However, recent studies in the Iberian, Betic and Coastal-Catalan Ranges have shown that in the waters that bathed the peninsula during this period, sharks were as abundant as that of other European locations in the Triassic.
