Abstract

Many have been the legal changes that have occurred to alleviate the negative effects that the pandemic has had on the economic one resulting from COVID-19, and, of them, a significant part has focused on the field of social protection, especially the rules of the public social security system; management measures (the option of coverage to be carried out by self-employed workers), contributions (exemptions in the contribution for employers) or the Social Security protective action itself (accident of work contingency) have been developed; contributions (exemptions in the contribution for employers), or the Social Security protective action itself (accident of work contingency; repayment of benefits infringements), including different financial benefits, both for employed and self-employed persons (temporary disability; birth and childcare; unemployment benefit and allowance; cessation of activity benefit).
