Abstract
The aim of this work is to show the need to study the Aragonese part of Valencia and the local way of speaking of Aragon to attain a good knowledge of Valencian, given the existence of numerous linguistic traits that could be due, precisely, to the influence of the Aragonese people. The historical factors that explain this influence are analysed, which are quite simply, the constant presence of Aragonese people in Valencian lands, which is justified by the abundance of surnames of Aragonese origin in Valencia. Finally, some specific case of Aragonese components in the phonic, morphosyntactic and especially lexical levels are provided.
